Yesterday was a magical work day. EVERY school sent over their payroll stuff. In ONE day. Without me having to call to remind them. This is literally the FIRST time this has happened in the almost 4 years I've worked there! Yay school secretaries!
My job would be almost impossible if we didn't have such great secretaries. They really are the unsung heroes of a school district. In addition to their regular duties, the elementary ones deal with sick and crying children. The middle and high school ones deal with attitude. Yet, each and every one of them seem to LOVE their jobs. They ROCK!
Sometimes I think I'd like to be a secretary. I'd like to have school holidays and summer off. Then I remember the whole sick and crying children/attitude thing.
I'd rather work year round. Kthxbye.
