My own PostSecret
One of my favorite Monday morning activities is to read the new week's PostSecret. (Sorry, it's too early to do the link...just Google PostSecret.)
In honor of this, I'm doing my own PS entry.
*I secretly detest MH's boyfriend. I especially detest that he spends his lunch break in our office EVERY DAY.
*Jeffrey would have graduated this spring with a degree in Elementary Ed. When a new sub comes in, the first thing I do is look at their birthdate to see how close it is to his.
*I rarely drink coffee at work. When I do, I always make a fresh pot and then fill my cup from the middle of the pot.
*On the rare occasions that I wake up before Bill...I always watch him sleeping for a few minutes before I get out of bed.
*Even though I've raised two teenagers before her, sometimes I am absolutely lost when I need to discipline or help Shelby with something.
*I spend too much time on the internet at work. Then I find myself rushing through my work at the end of the day.
*Although I don't care for meat, I've been craving the Swiss Steak my Grama made when I was a child. I can't find a recipe that seems to be like it.
*I like to read the same books over and over again. It's like spending time with an old friend. I'm the same way with movies.
*I drink milk straight from the carton.
*I sometimes think about RK, who was my boyfriend my 16th summer and wish he was my first. Then I remember what a putz he was and I'm relieved that I waited.
*I've been reading Angels and Demons for MONTHS. Although several friends have told me how much they enjoyed it, I simply cannot make myself finish it.
*I think Oprah should be more responsible with her popularity.
*I am hooked on two TV shows. The Mentalist and In Plain Sight. I DVR the shows while watching them, in case I want to watch them again.
*Other than those two show, I usually just have the TV on for background noise while I do something else.
*Earrings are my favorite accesory. When I'm getting dressed, I choose my earrings first and then put together an outfit to match them.
*When I was in my 20's, shoes were my favorite accessory. I would do the same thing then, choose my shoes and then plan an outfit to match.
*My favorite all time pair of shoes were a pair of red (fake) snakeskin pumps that I bought after I moved to CA. I'd always wanted to own a pair of red shoes, but my Grama wouldn't let me. She called them "hooker shoes."
*Sometimes I catch myself saying my thoughts out loud. Then I look around to see if anyone noticed.
*Every time I speak to a family member on the phone, I always say "mmmk, love you bye" before I hang up.
*I used to love my job. Now I just make myself go through the motions. I'd really like to fall in love with it again.
*I have more online friends than real life friends.
*I haven't had a BEST friend (other than Bill) since I moved to MT. We've lived here almost 13 years.
*When I leave work, I often laugh all the way home at the things that were said or done that I didn't dare laugh about, at the time they happened. Most of my co-workers don't get my humor.
*I love to do jigsaw puzzles. However I hate sorting the pieces prior to starting the puzzle. Often I can't make myself finish with the sorting and just put the pieces back in the box.
*In 2001, Bill was offered a great job in Pennsylvania. We almost moved. I often wonder how different our lives would be now, if we had.
*When I was a single mom in 1986, I was offered a great job in Honolulu, Hawaii. I've never regretted not taking it.
