I am a reading addict. I love the "Recent public entries" and "Users online right now" boxes that are part of the new DL.
I've found a few new friends this way. That's always a good thing.
But sometimes...well I'll read the entry and I can't understand a word that it written. All the words are English, but the way they're put together can't penetrate my brain.
Oh, that reminds me. I talk VERY quickly. One of my co-workers calls me AK47. Home grown Montanans tend to speak s l o w l y. It's always fun when I say something to someone here and there's a very long pause before they answer me. I know it's because their taking my words and translating them in Montanaspeak.
There is one woman in the district who is well...mean to me. She's also a very s l o w speaker. I confess that I take great pleasure in talking to her double fast just to see the look on her face as she tries to figure out what I've just said. One time (I'm not kidding) when I phoned her, I said what I needed to say. Then there was the usual pause. Then she hung up on me! She couldn't figure out what I was asking, so she just hung up.
Just thinking about it makes me giggle.
I'm so bad.
