I have a special gift. I can bring rain. All I have to do is buy summer clothing or make plans that involve having to be outside and, POOF... rain.

The last two weeks have been hot and sunny. I was doing laundry every other day because I had so few clothes to wear. I spent Saturday taking care of that. It has rained every day since. Rain is forecast for the next two weeks.

Ten years ago, we planned a family vacation to camp in various national parks. We visited Zion and Bryce Canyon. We visited the Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde. We spent two days in Durango, CO, before ending the vacation with a weekend in Denver. IT RAINED EVERY SINGLE DAY OF OUR VACATION. Everywhere we went, people were talking about the rain. How it hadn't rained in WEEKS.

While in Denver, we stayed with friends. Our first evening there, I looked outside and said "It looks like it's going to rain." My friend replied "It looks like that every night, but it never does." I smiled. She didn't know about my gift.

An hour later it was raining. She was amazed.

I wasn't. I'm the rain bringer.
