Yesterday was a DAY. One of THOSE days. Normally I have infinite patience. I can almost always see the humor in a situation. Yesterday...not so much.
Every time I tried to do something...BOOM! I'd hit the wall of "not enough or incorrect information."
Endless emails were sent requesting said information. Endless phone calls were made when emails weren't answered.
Honestly, it went on and on. Every new name I tried to pay...Boom! Into the wall again.
I got my butt royally chewed out by a teacher because I'd sent her an email telling her she was out of leave and would be getting one day of Leave Without Pay. Turns out she'd had the day approved and turned in the correct paperwork to her secretary. All good, except the secretary didn't bother to send the form to Payroll.
By 3:30, I was beside myself. I sent Bill a text that summed up my day.
I must have scared him, because he didn't call me for almost an hour.
I came home and laid down on the couch for a few minutes to let go of the irritation/stress. When I woke up, I asked Shelby and M (new teenager living with us) if they would mind cooking dinner and cleaning up the kitchen because I was just spent.
Shelby said "Mom, you've been asleep for TWO hours. Dad already fed us Mickey D's." Hmmmm...I guess I wasn't just irritated, I was tired too.
BTW, the text I sent, read "Days like this are why I don't own a gun."
