Insanity = Outdoor wedding in June in Montana.

We are attending a wedding in 3 hours. The bride is the daughter of one of the first families that befriended us when we moved here.

Her oldest brother was a good friend of Mike's. They practically lived at each other's homes. He often went with us on family vacations.

Her mother is one of my favorite friends. She's the one who helped me get my foot in the door for my job with the schools. We work together at Admin.

These are three good reasons why we HAVE to attend this wedding.

That said, I'd like for you to know that it is currently 46 degrees and raining. That is cold...even to a Montanan.

And lest you forget, I am currently MISERABLE with a sinus/ear infection.

I feel so sorry for the bride and groom. I'm sure many people are thinking the way we are. We're going for the wedding part. Then we are hightailing it out of there. You see, the reception is OUTSIDE too.

Crazy. Even I know that you don't plan an outdoor wedding in Montana EVER without a contingency plan. In the 13 years we've lived here, I've seen it snow every month except August.

BTW, I won't be wearing my new summer dress that I bought for the occasion. I'm wearing one of my "winter" outfits.

I hope the bride's dress isn't sleeveless.
