When MH told me Friday that we were finished...she was a bit truth challenged. She hadn't QUITE finished her share. She planned to stay late Friday and come in early yesterday. She didn't. She finished yesterday afternoon. Sigh. Before we left, we managed to balance it and get everything ready to print checks this a.m.
I put the day to good use, however. I checked each and every timecard (except for the ones she was working on) in the computer, so that will speed things up today. I managed to get all of my unemployment reports finished and faxed in. I did NOT even look at my fingerprinting stuff. That's what July is for.
Speaking of July, Mike & Lindsay are coming here for the 4th of July! I have a certain amount taken out of my paycheck and put directly into savings every month. This is our "Mike & Lindsay vacation fund." I paid for them to fly out here. It was WAY less expensive than DRIVING us all there. Plus I'll only need to use 2 vacation days, rather than the 2 weeks I'd use if we drove. When they found their tickets, Mike texted me "Are you sure you want to spend this much $$?" I told him "I miss you a MILLION dollars worth!" Mommy wins.
Shelby & M are going to a (for lack of a better word) camp in Idaho tomorrow. The more I listen about the various things they get to do, the more jealous I am. ;o)
MH & several of my co-workers are going to a conference in Billings tomorrow. I'm not even a tiny bit jealous.
I'm looking forward to having the office to myself and then coming home and having the house to myself. (Bill is beginning his busy tourist season.)
I'm finding as I get older, I need LESS alone time than I did when the kids were young.
But, I still enjoy it when I get it.
