Update:
I put on my Big Girl Panties and spoke with MH about the situation with her daughter.
At first, she wasn't too receptive. I just kept speaking. I didn't say anything that wasn't the complete truth. After about 15 minutes, she agreed with me.
I asked her "Are we ok?" and she said yes.
This was at 8am.
At 9am, her daughter showed up. MH took her by the arm and spoke quietly to her. Then she left. She didn't come back.
It was a lovely day.
