Dear Media,
I am sick and tired of hearing, reading and watching your "DEVELOPING STORY!" newscasts about Michael Jackson, his life and his death.
We're all familiar with the phrase "everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame."
Enough is enough. Stop giving time to these people who are crawling out from under the rocks to get their face on the TV screen and printed in the tabloids.
The media has changed drastically in the past 20 years or so. News is no longer "new." It's just a repeat of something reported earlier.
Even worse, news has stopped being about what HAS HAPPENED and become non-stop speculation and gossip mongering.
I'd like to introduce YOU to another common phrase.
"Rest in peace."
Please let him and the rest of us, do so.
