Goodbye Sweet Princess
Four months and 3 days after we added Princess to our family, we lost her.
The vet thinks she had a little stroke Wednesday night. She began to act oddly on Thursday. Although she was willing to get up to potty or to get a drink, she ate very little this weekend.
She apparently had another stroke last night. This morning she was unable to walk or stand up. I spoke with the vet and we agreed that it was time to put her down. We all cried while we held and loved on her until it was time to take her in.
She was a lovely, sweet old dog. She made us all laugh with her crooked walk and her toothless smile. She loved on anyone who came near her. She was relentless when trying to steal any food you were eating while holding her. When I came in the door, she would do a little doggy happy dance, jumping backwards in a counter clockwise circle.
We already miss her and feel very blessed that we got to spend her final months with her.
