If you read my previous entry, you've probably figured out that I've run out of nice. Completely out. I'm not even running on fumes.

Once again, an administrator pulled a royal screw up and Payroll had to fix it.

While we were fixing it, we were yelled at by the approximately 30 employees who were underpaid due to the screw up. It was a HUGE screw up.

Most of our week was enveloped in the correcting of it. Then on Wednesday an employee came to see me. He subs and teaches one class at the night school. Or so we thought.

Apparently his position at the night school was terminated due to budget cuts. Yeah...the principal neglected to inform payroll. So...we paid him.

He was VERY nice about it. We'll just deduct the overpayment over his next few subbing checks.

It was just one more thing the we'll have to fix because of someone else's screw up. Truly, we manage to make enough mistakes on our own...we don't need any outside help. ;o)

This is why I was so evil about the man who thought his check didn't get direct deposited yesterday. He was one of the 30ish employees who yelled at us about being underpaid. Even when the administrator sent out an email explaining that it was his error, this man was still nasty when he came in to pick up his extra check.

Like I said, what goes around, comes around.

Whew! That's all done now. I'm mentally wiping the slate in my mind. Now it's ready to be filled with joy and laughter, rather than irritation and complaining.

I'm going to do a bit of clothes shopping this weekend. When I brought my fall/winter clothes out a few weeks ago, I was brutal as I went through them. Everything that was stained, got tossed. Everything that was too big/small was given away. It seemed like a great idea at the time.

Now that we're expecting cooler temperatures next week, I'm realizing I may have been a bit too brutal. I have pants. I have skirts. I have sweaters. I have a few blouses. None of these really go together to make an outfit.

Ross...here I come.

What I'd LIKE to do is take a trip to Billings. The thought of spending 4 hours (roundtrip) alone in the car sounds heavenly. However, my checkbook has informed me that there isn't the slightest chance this will happen.

Mean, rotten checkbook!
