Yesterday was a C R A Z Y day at work. The local radio station ran a story (every hour on the hour) that Small Town School District had so many student absences due to swine flu that the schools were going to close.

Like most media reports...it was ALMOST true. Yes, we have a lot of absences. Most of them are not verified swine flu. Because our district is so small, it doesn't take a lot of absences to make it seem like a large percentage is out.

Yesterday afternoon, the school nurse met with the superintendent and principals about it.

There is no school Thursday and Friday due to the state wide teacher's convention. I'm guessing we won't close any additional days.

Of course, even if the schools close, Admin will still be open.

There's no rest for the wicked. ;o)
