Update from yesterday's entry: Small Town school district will NOT be closing schools at this time. Although, all extra-curricular activities are cancelled/postponed for the week. Monday was an all time high with absences. 36.5% of the high school was gone. Tuesday was a bit better. There is no school on Thursday and Friday, so hopefully those that are sick can recuperate over the 4 days weekend. Fingers crossed.

I don't Twitter or Facebook (anymore,) but if I did, yesterday would have looked something like this:

*Staff meeting on H1N1 almost as soon as I walked in the door at work. (We've been told not to refer to it as swine flu...whatever.)

*ANOTHER staff meeting on H1N1.

*Guess what? ANOTHER meeting on H1N1.

*I managed to get to my desk and get some work accomplished. Shelby surprised me and kidnapped me for lunch!

*You guessed it, yet another meeting on H1N1.

*Finally at my desk working like crazy to catch up. Bill calls for help with his fuel surcharge report. Turns out he didn't need help, he just wanted me to explain something. I nicely told me that I had my own work to do. If he'd bring it home, I'd help him with it later. He said "That's ok. My bookkeeper is here, I'll ask her." GRRRR!

*Left work an hour early for hair appointment.

*The speed limit on every street in Small Town, is 25mph. EVERY STREET...except one. It's 45 mph on that one. I'm always getting honked at for driving 25mph on it. I think I'm becoming an old lady driver.

*On my way to get my hair cut, I heard Larry the Cable Guy on the radio. He was telling some joke about trying to get high by smoking the mushrooms on a pizza. Pizza! At that precise moment, I knew we were having pizza for dinner.

*After my hair cut, I decided my hair looked too gray. I bought hair color. As soon as I bought it, I couldn't decide whether or not I wanted to use it. I like my hair, it's just that when I look at it, all I see is gray. I get a lot of compliments on my "highlights" (grays) but I'm just not sure. Put the hair color away. I'll decide this weekend.

*Watched the movie "Role Models" that I had dvr'd. Holy cow! This is one of the funniest movies I've watched in ages. I laughed (out loud) or gasped (out loud) throughout the entire thing. There are a lot of inappropriate lines. I'm not easily offended, so I'm definitely buying that one.

*Went to bed to read. Enjoyed the lovely quiet until my eyes wouldn't stay open.
